Connie Stapleton, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who works directly with surgical weight loss patients before and after weight loss surgery. Dr. Stapleton is a national and international speaker on the prevention of weight regain and recovery from all addictions. Dr. Mark G. Watkins, DO is a pediatric endocrinologist, specializing in various endocrine disorders for children, adolescents and young adults including Type I Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, obesity and many others. He graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri in 2000. From there, he completed a four year combined residency in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine from the Medical College of Ohio (now the University of Toledo Medical Center) in 2004. He then attended University of Michigan, where he completed a 3 year fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology. He is now practicing at the Endocrine and Diabetes Care Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. Watkins has been treating children, adolescents and young adults with obesity for past 10 years. He is well aware of the challenges in treating obesity. Dr. Watkins has also struggled with obesity for many years, and decided to have gastric bypass surgery on April 18th, 2016.

Dr. K Tuggle was born and raised in Long Island, New York. After graduating with honors and as a Meyerhoff Scholar from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, she obtained her medical doctorate from Howard University College of Medicine. She then completed her general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital. To enhance her abilities she completed her bariatric and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) fellowship in Atlanta, under the training and relationship between Peachtree Surgical & Bariatrics, and Morehouse School of Medicine.
Dr. Tuggle is co-director of the fellowship program she graduated from, and is dedicated to the teaching of both fellows and medical students. She has authored peer review articles and presented to national professional medical organizations.
As a Major in the United States Army Reserve, she has served one tour of duty in Afghanistan, where she used her skills to provide surgical care to soldiers. She is committed to optimizing patient safety and outcomes in the field of bariatric surgery, and is continuously motivated to change lives through the surgical tool. Anisa Grantham, LPC, NCAC
Anisa Grantham is the owner of Rincon Recovery Resources, LLC an out-patient counseling center specializing in substance abuse, emotional wellness, and food addiction. Anisa attended GA Southern University; she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (1994) and Master of Education degree (1997) emphasis-Community Counseling. She has worked in the addiction field since 1990. In addition to her private practice, she is the Bariatric Coordinator for Memorial Health Bariatrics in Savannah, GA- providing pre/post-operative psychotherapy and educational programs. Anisa is a successful weight loss surgery patient (RNY-2002) and became a Licensed Bariatric Educator/Coach in 2009. She is a featured story in the New York Best Seller (3rd edition) “Success Habits of Weight Loss Surgery Patients”, (Cook, C.M). Anisa has been the recipient of Bariatric Support Center International “Licensee of the Year” Award 2010-2015. She is an active member of GACA, NAADAC, ASMBS, and LPCA.
